जम्मू जिला प्रशासन ने सभी स्कूलों और कॉलेजों के प्रशासनों से उन्हें सोमवार को ऐहतियातन बंद रखने के लिये कहा है।

जम्मू कश्मीर में चल रहे गहमागहमी के बीच जवाहर लाल नेहरू विश्वविद्यालय (जेएनयू) की पूर्व छात्र नेता शेहला राशिद ने मोदी सरकार पर हमला बोला है, शेहला राशिद ने एक के बाद एक दस ट्वीट किए। ट्वीट इस प्रकार है।
- भारत ने कश्मीर को एक ब्लैक होल में बदल दिया है। सामान्य जीवन को ऑफ ट्रैक कर दिया है। स्थिति पर कोई स्पष्टता नहीं, सरकार से स्थानीय लोगों के लिए कोई सलाहकार या संचार नहीं है, चारों ओर घबराहट, अटकलें और अफवाहें हैं। फ़ोन और इंटरनेट बंद हैं।
1) India has turned Kashmir into a black hole right now. With normal life thrown out of gear, no clarity on the situation, no advisory/communication for local people from the government, there's panic, speculation and rumor-mongering all around. Phones and internet are off.

- कश्मीर से बाहर रहने वाले लोग अपने रिश्तेदारों से संपर्क नहीं कर पा रहे हैं। माताएं जिनकी डिलीवरी की तारीखें नजदीक हैं वे बेहद डरी और आशंकित हैं। व्यापारियों और कर्मचारियों को पता नहीं है कि उन्हें कल काम पर जाना है या नहीं!
2) People living outside Kashmir are unable to contact their relatives and are wondering whether they are okay. Expectant mothers whose delivery dates are due soon, are highly scared and apprehensive. Traders and employees don't know whether they've to go to work tomorrow or not!

- मुख्यधारा के नेताओं को स्पष्ट रूप से देखा जा रहा है और उनके घरों के बाहर बलों की तैनाती है। ग्राउंड मोबिलिज़र को निवारक हिरासत में ले लिया गया है। सरकार में उच्च श्रेणी के अधिकारियों को इस बारे में कोई सुराग नहीं है।
3) Mainstream leaders are apparently being watched and there's deployment of forces outside their houses. Ground mobilizers have been taken into preventive custody - a process that's been going on for a few days. High ranking officers in the government have no clue about things.

- हर कोई एक ही सवाल पूछ रहा है: "कश्मीर में क्या हो रहा है?" लेकिन राज्यपाल के पास भी जवाब इसका नहीं है।
4) Everyone is asking the same question: "What is happening in Kashmir?" But nobody, not even the Governor has an answer. In a Jagmohan-era like move, non-locals were quickly escorted out of the state, while locals were made to panic and stock up essentials in the meantime.

- सरकार की ओर से कोई भी जानकारी ना मिलने के अभाव से सभी प्रकार की अफवाहों को हवा मिल रही है। सरकार ने जानबूझकर गलत सूचना के प्रसार की अनुमति दी है। असली खबर क्या है और नकली खबर क्या है इस पर कोई स्पष्टता नहीं है। अधिकारी मूकदर्शक हैं।
5) In the absence of any credible information from the government, all kinds of rumours have been allowed to float. The government has deliberately allowed the spread of misinformation. There's no clarity on what is genuine news and what is fake news anymore. Officials are mute.

- लोगों को घबराहट, असुविधा और मानसिक रूप से परेशान करने के लिए बीजेपी की क्लासिक शैली है।
6) It is classic BJP style to panic, inconvenience and psychologically harass people - be it during demonetisation, post-Pulwama violence or now - by doing so, the ruling party wants to satisfy the jingoistic lust of its supporters who enjoy and encourage bloodshed and violence.

- ऐसा करके, सत्ता पक्ष अपने समर्थकों को यह विश्वास दिलाना चाहता है कि वे कुछ महान काम कर रहे हैं। हकीकत में यह शासन, सुरक्षा और खुफिया तंत्र की भारी विफलता है जो AFSPA और आधा मिलियन से अधिक सैनिकों के बावजूद मोदी सरकार गैर-स्थानीय लोगों को कश्मीर में नहीं बना सकती है।
7) By doing so, the ruling party wants to convince its supporters that they are doing something great. In reality, it's a massive failure of governance, security and intelligence that despite AFSPA & over half a million troops, Modi govt couldn't make non-locals stay in Kashmir.

8) More than anyone else, BJP supporters need to understand that this is a policy and security failure of the present govt. Yatris had their religious rights violated. Tourists were deported from Kashmir as if they are non-citizens. Non-local students were forced to go home.

- कश्मीर की हालत देख दिल टूट गया है । इस तरह से शेख अब्दुल्ला के 1953 के कार्यकाल के बाद से कश्मीर में नेतृत्व नष्ट हो गया है। यहां तक कि हमारे औपचारिक प्रमुख, राज्यपाल को भी अंधेरे में रखा जा रहा है।
9) Heart-breaking to see all voices from Kashmir being drowned out. This is how leadership in Kashmir has been destroyed since Sheikh Abdullah's 1953 ouster. Even our ceremonial head, the Governor, is being kept in the dark. That's why no one can control the situation in Kashmir!
